Angel Investor: What is it?
Many people ask me this question.
I saw a response from the great Santi Pinto so I'm pasting here his definition of being an Angel investor:
“Being a business angel is much more than putting capital into a startup. After 17 years investing in more than 30 companies in Latin America, I can say that failures and successes go hand in hand, and in both cases, the learning is immense. Sometimes you will win, sometimes you will lose, but what you will never lose is the possibility of learning and continuing to grow.
Investing in entrepreneurs is betting on new ideas, on people with the energy to transform markets and, many times, to change realities. Yes, there will be challenges, but also moments in which you will see how an idea, which you bet on at the beginning, becomes a project that impacts thousands.
For those who are considering becoming business angels, I tell you: it is not a linear path, but each curve brings with it experiences that transform you not only as an investor, but also as a person.
If you are passionate about innovation and have the willingness to hospitals email list accompany entrepreneurs on their path, this world awaits you.”

The value of angel investors
One point that isn't mentioned enough is that angels are looking for much more than just an innovative idea. They want to see a team that is hungry to learn and grow. An entrepreneurial team that is known to have the potential to be leaders in their industry.
Constant learning is one of the values they value most in entrepreneurs. In each interaction, they seek to understand whether the founder is willing to absorb new knowledge and adapt quickly to challenges.
This makes the difference between those who are simply looking for funding and those who are really building a solid project.
Personally, I have made 15 angel investments and have had the privilege of accompanying more than 100 founders on their path to growth. What I have learned over the years is that success does not depend only on money.
