Salesforce has announced the general availability of Slack Lists , a tool that enables project and task management directly from within Slack. Lists structure conversations in Slack and allow teams to manage projects, requests, and priorities in the same tool— all without having to jump between multiple apps.
Currently, only 34% of projects are completed on time and within budget. Reasons include issues such as the diversity of applications to manage employee conversations about projects, or the fact that the teams involved use different tools, which creates information silos or incompatible licenses. All of this means that employees must deal with these situations, which increases management time due to the diversity of platforms or systems.
Salesforce Slack lists change this , allowing teams to collaborate and stay aligned on cross-functional projects with different requests, approvals, and more, keeping all the conversation in one workflow. According to data from a pilot program, 77% of customers said lists improved their ability to get work done.

In a list, teams can keep track of everything they need to know, whether it’s planning marketing campaigns and product launches, onboarding processes for new employees, or implementing new technology systems, for example.
Collaborate on tasks that are already being worked on : Lists allow teams to bring people into a conversation with message threads. These threads help organize the isolated conversations teams may be having about a specific topic. Conversation threads capture all the context needed to catch up, complete tasks, and jump into conversations when needed. This way, a new team member assigned to a task will have all the context they need to take action, participate in the conversation, and make decisions.
Automate and categorize requests and pending tasks from different applications : Through a workflow creator (Workflow Builder), a no-code tool to automate routine work, teams will be able to benefit from automations and turn lists into the center of management and classification of work in Slack, allowing tasks to be carried out more efficiently.
