Spotify presents the new emerging artists of "RADAR Spain", its talent support program

Spotify, the world's largest streaming audio company , today presents the talents that will be part of "RADAR Spain" 2024, its program to support emerging talent in our country by taking advantage of the relevance and cultural impact of the platform.

«RADAR Spain» is part of «RADAR», the global Spotify program that, since its launch in 2020, has managed to give voice and growth in our country to more than 35 emerging artists , including Quevedo, Saiko, Paula Koops, Morad, María José Llergo or Jimena Amarillo.

«RADAR España» features a total of six Spanish artists this year: Mushkaa (Irma Farelo), who has become a great reference within the Catalan urban scene; Charlie USG , the promise of the new national pop-rock; Luis Cortés , whose music is a perfect mix between flamenco, soul and R&B; pablopablo , who has collaborated on several C.Tangana releases in 2023; Shego , a rock band based in Madrid, and Samuraï , whose pop music is enhanced with guitars and electronic elements.

Luis Cortés emerges as a symbol of flamenco fusion, with his Gypsy and African ancestry, fusing diverse influences to create a unique expression in his art. Mushkaa , on the other hand, embodies the blossoming of music in Catalan, transcending geographical borders with its urban and pop approach.
Shego is also leading the renaissance of women in the world of rock, alongside other artists such as Tiburona, Bala and Repion, challenging stereotypes and making their voices heard loud and clear. Meanwhile, Charlie USG illustrates the power of social media to catapult a new generation of pop artists, from humble beginnings on the streets of Madrid's Gran Via to viral stardom.
Lastly, pablopablo , backed by the guidance of C. Tangana, bursts onto the indie scene with a proposal free of stylistic constraints, while Samuraï transports us back to the punk-pop of the 2000s, fusing his passion for video games with his music in a fresh and vibrant way.
Spotify will introduce its listeners to the story and essence of these artists on and off the platform. It will do so through its channels, playlists and social networks , as well as by creating exclusive and original content. It also offers a personalized marketing plan for each artist.

“This year we launched the fifth edition of our RADAR Spain program , which reaffirms Spotify’s commitment to artists throughout their careers . Our goal is to accompany them at every stage of their artistic growth to help them establish deeper connections with their fans and conquer new audiences by taking advantage of Spotify’s global reach,” says Melanie Parejo , Head of Music for Southern and Eastern Europe at Spotify. “RADAR Spain is also part of our commitment to the platform’s users, as it allows us to introduce them to new music and new artists that can become essential in their playlists,” she adds.

The launch of the fifth edition of the programme is completed with the “ RADAR España ” playlist, where users can discover the best songs by RADAR artists. This musical selection is regularly updated with new releases.

The growth of RADAR artists' careers
Among the artists who have been part of "RADAR Spain" in previous editions and who have grown the most, are Morad, Jimena Amarillo, Beny Jr, Guitarricadelafuente or Belén Aguilera , among many others.

In fact, among the "RADAR Spain" artists of the 2023 edition who have grown the most in bulgaria whatsapp lead listeners on Spotify are: Saiko , whose monthly listeners have grown by 600%; Marta Santos , for her part, has increased her monthly listeners by more than 120%, and in the case of Paula Koops, almost 70%. Quevedo is also worth mentioning as one of the great talents who was named a RADAR Global artist in June 2022 , before releasing his collaboration with Bizarrap, “ Quevedo: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52 ”, and becoming the most listened to national artist in Spain in 2022 and 2023.

All of these talents are part of the more than 35 artists in Spain that Spotify has managed to give a voice to and help grow internationally.
