"Gutting" the Instagram Reels algorithm to steal all your attention

Post by samiaseo75 »

Reels is perhaps the most thriving format on Instagram. Since the Meta subsidiary launched this format in the summer of 2020 to compete with TikTok, Reels has become Instagram's "right-hand man" (which does not hide its predilection for short videos). And today it is easier to position yourself by publishing content on Reels than by generating content for the "feed" or publishing Stories, where the competition is also much fiercer.

The algorithm that governs Reels has until new zealand phone number data recently been a mystery shrouded in thick fog, but Instagram has recently lifted the curtain and provided some tips for trying to win the favor of its algorithm.

For now, it seems that Reels will penalize those videos that are clearly recycled and come from other apps (TikTok, for example) and will also take away steam from low-quality videos.

Videos with clearly visible watermarks and logos from other apps will be particularly vulnerable to penalties from the Reels algorithm , which appears to have little tolerance for content from other platforms.

In this sense, users who are used to recycling content and posting it interchangeably on TikTok and Instagram may have to give up this practice if they want to open the Reels tab more frequently. This is a logical move if we take into account that Reels and TikTok basically compete for the same audience.
