Snap Pixel JavaScript code
Now a new tag must be created in the “Tags” area in Google Tag Manager. We select “Community Templates” as the “Tag Template”. In the templates we now look for the “Snap Pixel” template and select the “Snap Pixel” template. The template must then be added to the Google Tag Manager.
To insert the Snap Pixel, we now need to specify the ID of the pixel. We can find this in the JavaScript code that we copied in the previous step. You can find the ID directly after the “init” instruction, which is used to execute the Snapchat pixel on your website.
Snap Pixel JavaScript code
You can recognize the unique pixel ID because it is a long combination of numbers and letters. Make sure that you only copy the ID and not the quotation marks before and after it. Under “Event bahrain whatsapp phone number Type” the “Page View” event must then be selected, as we want to trigger a normal page view. To track events other than a page view, the event should be changed accordingly, e.g. “Sign up” for leads or “Purchase” for purchases in the online shop.
Snap Pixel tag configuration
The trigger in the Google Tag Manager defines when the pixel code should be executed. You should select the “All Pages” trigger here so that the Snap Pixel is executed on every subpage of your website. In the last step, you must publish all changes in the Google Tag Manager by clicking on “Publish”. The pixel is now integrated into the page.
When setting the trigger's data protection settings, make sure that the pixel is only fired if your users have agreed to the use of marketing cookies. The correct settings vary depending on the content management system used and the cookie banner. If you encounter problems setting up your Snap Pixel, please feel free to contact us without obligation .
Create Snapchat Conversion API
Once you have properly set up the Snapchat Pixel on your website, all the requirements for using the Snapchat Conversions API are met. We can now set up the API together in the Snapchat Ads Manager.
To do this, first select “Business” -> “Business Dashboard” in the main menu. In the overview of your company, select “Business Details”. Now scroll to the “OAuth Apps” section and select “Create App”.
