Google Analytics 4: Continuous Updates
A few months ago, Google Universal Analytics was shut down and Google Analytics 4 became mandatory for website operators. When they first looked at the new tool, some people were quite surprised: Many functions of the very popular web analysis software were no longer available in version 4. In the last 6 months, the search engine company has responded to the criticism and consistently (re)integrated new (and sometimes old) functions. As we are used to from Google, the features were launched quietly and secretly, which is why we could not always find a specific release date. All of the functions we present were released in the second half of 2023. These are the most important updates of Google Analytics 4 2024:
New, central settings menu
The first thing that catches your eye is the new, central settings menu. While in the past there was a settings and an administration menu in GA4, we now only have one view in which we make all settings. The dominican republic whatsapp phone number menu is divided into account settings, which affect the entire Analytics account, and property settings. In the property settings, for example, we can authorize users for an individual property or set which data should be collected within a Google Analytics property. Under "My Settings" you will find (still a bit oddly named) the account-related setting options that only affect your personal Google user account. The new, unified settings menu is clearly structured and makes setting up a new Google Analytics 4 property much easier.
The new change history of a property provides information about when which changes were made to the property. Here you can, for example, see when a new user was added to the property or when the data collection settings were adjusted. So if your Google Analytics suddenly no longer contains any data and you are looking for someone to blame, take a look at the change history.
