Jan Brakebusch : Enterprise SEO in the future – what will matter!

Post by kumartk »

Our colleague Jan, as he has done every year since 2018, brought a topic to the Seoday stage. This time it was one that's currently on his mind: enterprise SEO and what will be important in the future.

Enterprise SEO is SEO for large websites or companies. It is therefore usually very argentina phone number data complex, and as if companies and websites weren't already complex enough, the jungle is becoming increasingly dense.

Jan discussed what he sees as the four major factors that make it even more complex:

Google Updates: Even if you are already used to these, there is one currently that will significantly change the SERPs and thus the market positions
EEAT & SGE (Search Generative Experience): More quality factors and a completely new way of searching?
AI / AI in overload: Too many tools, possibilities and influences
BFSG (Accessibility Strengthening Act): Less than 20 months remain for implementation
Jan could have offered many tips. Since time is limited, he offered seven: seven ideas for implementing more SEO in 2024. It was a call to all SEOs to see the world through the topics of others and thus position SEO topics differently within the company.

Sustainability: 65% of German companies aim to be climate-neutral by 2035. Digital tools and optimizations can save an average of 34% of CO².
Cyber security: Nobody wants to appear in the press with vulnerabilities or even be taken offline.
Market research & developments: What's the competition doing? Perhaps you can attack where they're stagnating and have shifted their focus away from?
“Success consultant” instead of “SEO complainer”: Package SEO as a guarantee of success for the goals of your counterpart, not for yours
AI for important things: There are many existing use cases. Use them to mitigate bottlenecks if necessary.
Industry reports and surveys: Show what can be done to perform better next year
BSFG: It's one of the four factors and also one of the stimuli. Because it's the biggest lever for website optimization in ages... and that's by law.
