What a small SEO agency did in a week five years ago, I can do in a day today. Analyze a thousand sites by thirty parameters? Distribute two thousand queries into groups? This used to take hours and days. Today, it takes minutes.
The SEO market has changed. Manual work is inferior to automatic solutions. And there is nothing wrong with that. The main thing is to approach automation wisely. Set up automatic systems correctly, check data and be able to process it.
I'm sharing our favorite tools and how we use them when promoting and optimizing our clients' websites.
Preparing the site for optimization
The first and most important thing is to study the site and check how list of japan cell phone numbers ready it is for promotion in search engines. To do this, we look at whether the site is optimized and whether it meets search engine standards.
We determine the level of internal optimization
Tools: Screaming Frog SEO Spider Tool and WebSite Auditor
Task completion time: 20 minutes
Why these programs?
We prepare a commercial proposal only when we understand the scope of the upcoming work. Therefore, the first thing we do is study how many errors there are on the client's site and conduct a mini-audit.
First, import the main SEO data of the site. For this, we use the parsers Screaming Frog SEO Spider Tool and Website Auditor.
The first program is in the arsenal of any specialist. The second is not so popular - it is a narrower and more specialized tool. A powerful weapon if you know how to handle it.
We tested dozens of parsers and settled on a combination of these two: they complement each other perfectly. For example, Website Auditor can check the indexation of each page — SEO Spider doesn’t even come close to that. At the same time, SEO Spider perfectly parses almost any part of a website page using regular expressions.
For example, you can check whether the Google Analytics counter is installed on all pages. For example, when we analyzed the website of Siberian Health, our client, we found out that out of a hundred thousand pages, four thousand (in numbers: 4,000!) did not have counters installed. As a result, the client received an incomplete picture of traffic.
Getting Started: Screaming Frog SEO Spider Tool
It looks like this.
In SEO Spider we parse the site data. Then we upload the Crawl Overview report to an Excel file - this is a general overview of errors and the site's optimization level, without details. But uploading the report is not enough - we also need to explain it. It is important for us that the client understands each step and can understand the data.
To do this, we adjust the report. The program exports data in English. There are many specific terms and meanings that are incomprehensible to the average client. Therefore, we decipher and explain everything in a separate column.
See an example report here .
WebSite Auditor: Deeper into the Forest
Now, to get the full picture, we need other data. Website Auditor is here to help.
Parsing a website. The program analyzes dozens of indicators: domain metrics (authority, traffic, global rating), internal SEO indicators of each page, mentions in eight social networks (from Facebook to Diigo), and indexing of each page in four search engines.
After the audit, we download the data to a PDF file. Then we prepare an express audit for the client, where we list critical optimization errors. And we save this data in a separate folder: we will need all this later, when we conduct a detailed audit - on 161 points.
