Borrowing another Instagram-focused feature, Facebook launched Reels in late September 2021. These short videos made a splash when they launched on Instagram a year earlier, so it's no surprise that they've already started to gain user interest on Facebook, too.

Facebook Reels can be up to 30 seconds long and include a combination of video, audio, and creative effects. Like Stories, they appear separately in a special bar at the top of users’ Facebook feeds. Reels are integrated into news feeds and even Facebook groups.

While Reels don't have the ability to link stories, they're great for increasing reach, as well as audience growth and community building. With Facebook currently testing additional features like Instagram Reels sharing, in-Reel ads, and Reels monetization, it's a feature worth trying out.

Tap the Reel button at the bottom of the screen and create a video up to 30 seconds long. Use the creative tools to add music, insert special effects, or adjust the speed of the video before posting to your Page.

Create Stories on Facebook

Scheduling stories on Facebook was previously a complex task and required specialized paid software until Facebook launched story scheduling through the Business Suite in mid-2021.

The Facebook Business Suite mobile app makes it easy to create and schedule stories. Open the app, go to your Page, and tap the blue plus icon to create new content. Select Story from the pop-up menu and start creating from a newly created video or existing content from your gallery.

Then add text, graphics, or interactive stickers to make your story more interesting. You can also add a link that allows followers to visit your website, buy the product, or download it for free.

When you're done creating your story, tap the white Share button in the bottom right corner. Choose whether you want to post to Facebook, Instagram, or both. Then tap Schedule for Later and set a time to post.

Once your stories are published, take the time to analyze them. Determine the best time to post stories so you can schedule stories when your followers are most likely to be online.
