The most perverse side of AI will emerge on its own, but its good side will be the result of hard work

Artificial intelligence ( AI) has unleashed a furious race with the ultimate goal of climbing to the top of the trendiest technology. However, in this race, which the United States is currently leading in an absolutely undisputed way, Europe is lagging far behind (and it does not seem that it will gain momentum in the short term either). This was denounced yesterday at the Online Marketing Rockstars ( OMR ) festival by the German digital entrepreneur, writer and podcaster Sascha Lobo.

"Today, the best AI in the world is produced in the United States, the most efficient in benin whatsapp lead China and the most regulated in Europe," Lobo lamented. While in the United States companies like Google are investing billions of dollars in the development of AI and their efforts are also being encouraged by the government, in the old continent everything seems to revolve around the regulation of this technology and its development is completely in the background, he stressed.

As for the impact of AI on work, which is presumably of the first magnitude, Lobo does not dare to make predictions. "I cannot predict what will happen in this field of activity," he confessed. After all, the debate on the impact of AI on the world of work is fraught with complexity, he stressed.

We must work as hard as possible and collectively to bring out the most positive effects of AI.
As an example of how this debate is indeed very complex, Lobo cited Walmart . The US-based retailer has managed to save 25 cents on every purchase with AI at its side. Walmart has noted (perhaps with astonishment) that most of its suppliers prefer to negotiate with a bot rather than a real human being.

According to Lobo, it is easy to be carried away by anxiety when it comes to AI (because the development of this technology is inevitably hampered by uncertainty). However, we must put aside the fear that AI inspires (because of the many jobs it may destroy) and try to concentrate on the positive effects of this technology, which are potentially many (both in the workplace and in other areas of activity).

"The most perverse side of AI comes to light in an extraordinarily natural way. We must work in any case to enhance the positive side of this technology ," he said. And to bring out the most positive side of AI, we must work both intensively and collectively, he said.
