If you don't invest in videos, you're losing customers

Post by nurnobi40 »

You've heard a lot about the importance of videos on the internet. You've even researched the subject further on the internet. Really? You've watched some content on YouTube. You've noticed videos that appear on your social media timelines . Hmm. But you're still not convinced that your business should invest in this format to attract more customers. Okay, it might work well in many cases, but not in yours. Right?

So, you’ve come across this text here. If you clicked on the title, it’s because you must be questioning this thought – even if just a little!

A study published by HubSpot showed that content with videos receives 41% more traffic than content with only images and text. In fact, videos tend to receive more clicks than ads in the top positions on Google's search page. In addition, videos receive a prominent place in the so-called "zero position", before the 10 results displayed on the search engine page.

Wow. Just talking about the technical aspects of the matter already gives us three very interesting pieces of information! In fact, we can't deny that a video thumbnail in the middle canada phone number data of the alphabet soup that is the Google search page catches our attention. And, as beings who have learned to save energy to ensure survival, we like to opt for what requires less effort. It's much more practical and easier to understand any subject by watching someone talking than by reading the same content in a text.

Videos give us a sense of closeness, we can perceive intonations, tone of voice, and subtext. They humanize brands. They get closer, they allow us to talk, chat, and exchange. All of these features make us feel more confident about the product or service we are watching. Videos give us the impression that the content was thought out, created with care and attention to reach us, the consumers, in particular.

This all explains why many companies in the United States have noticed huge differences in conversion rates on pages that contain and do not contain videos. We don't even need to say which ones sold more, right?

Another very interesting point to take into consideration that you, dear reader, who is almost convinced to invest in videos as a marketing strategy for your company , need to consider is that this format helps in making purchasing decisions. Google released data showing that 1/3 of millennials bought a product after watching a video explaining how to use it.

And why is this so important? For the simple fact that, if it weren't for the video, maybe that user wouldn't have been convinced that your product is cool and that they need it right now. You know the famous "I'm just looking", that we've said so many times to salespeople in physical stores? This also happens on the internet. Many times, we're just casually "taking a quick look" at a product or company without any major expectations. Or we've heard about a product but didn't pay much attention to it.

And then we came across a really cool video showing how using that product your company sells REALLY makes life easier and is amazing. That's it, decision made – about something you weren't even considering much, actually – and purchase made.

We hope to have convinced you, dear reader who is rethinking your ideas about videos, that this is a format that is here to stay and offers endless possibilities for conversation with your potential and loyal audience, as well as greater sales opportunities. And if you decide to start investing in videos, count on us to help you with this process !
