On Twitter, some users tend to mention us (without any reason) to involve us in conversations in which we do not feel completely concerned and which only result in more notifications (as if there were not enough already).

For this reason, the social network with the blue bird announced yesterday that it was experimenting with a new feature to give users the opportunity to leave conversations in which they do namibia phone number data not really want to take part. This new feature, dubbed by Twitter as "unmention", has been requested for years by many users with the ultimate goal of calming cyberbullying on this social network.

Twitter is testing this new feature among a small number of users who will be able to access the “unmention” feature by clicking on the three-dot menu at the top and choosing the option “Get you out of this conversation.” By selecting this option, the user will be untagged in the replies, although their name will still be visible.

The microblogging network has not provided specific information on how many users will have access to the “unmention” feature, though it has described the experiment as global but small in size.

The test is currently available only to those who access Twitter via the web and is therefore not accessible from mobile devices.
