Traditionally, a social network has been defined as a group of people who have links with each other, whether for commercial reasons, friendship, work, kinship, etc.

“Social networks” as we know them allowed these groups of people to meet in a virtual environment, becoming websites made up of communities of people who have things in common.

In the beginning, websites only allowed one-way communication and very little interaction.

Today, social networks give prominence to users and the communities they form .

These sites facilitate communication between people, the exchange of information (such as photos, videos, and more), and allow them to meet new people, further expanding their network.

Think about the groups of friends you have, mexico mobile database whether they are from college, work or your family. Each of these groups is a social network that you have.

It seems a bit far from how we see social media today, doesn't it? Although this premise is still alive within the networks we use today.

Ultimately, the main function of a social network is to connect people within the virtual world, either to build new social connections or just to maintain existing ones.

The success achieved by social networks as we know them, such as Facebook and WhatsApp, is undeniable.

We can hardly imagine our social interactions without their presence and that shows the power of these platforms, which take over the world as we know it.
