The Purge
It was a bit of a headache to get the penalty overturned.

My client's backlink profile was littered with toxic links, which I had to manually insert into an Excel spreadsheet.

Then, on behalf of my client, I began emailing webmasters to request that they remove the bad backlink. Many webmasters were gracious and removed the backlinks, but in many other cases, I received no response at all.

So, I added these backlinks to a disavow file and submitted them to Google to have them disavowed. chinese overseas british database Then I sent a reconsideration request to Google with details of how I cleaned up the backlink profile to the best of my ability.

Within two weeks of submitting the disavow file and reconsideration request to Google, my client's penalty was lifted and his traffic and rankings were restored.

The timely "cleaning" work paid off!
