Google presents the queries that gained popularity in 2023 in Ukraine

Traditionally, at the end of the year, Google presented a final ranking of search queries of Ukrainian users. To find out which queries were the most relevant in 2023, the company analyzed what Ukrainians searched for most often on Google, and which topics showed the greatest growth in interest during 2023.



Among the defining moments of the year, the query “Airborne Bulk SMS Saudi Arabia Alert Map” took first place. The query “Power Outage Schedule” came in second place, and Prigozhin came in third. Also among the trending queries of the year were Deep State, Israel, and Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant.

In the ranking of people whose interest grew the most during the year, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov took first place. Ukrainians were also interested in such people as Spartak Subbota, Oleksandr Usyk, Kyrylo Budanov, and Iryna Farion.

Regarding people who left forever in 2023, the most inquiries were about Yevhen Prigozhin, Nina Matvienko, and Denys Monastyrsky.

In the "Films" category in 2023, Ukrainians were most interested in Christopher Nolan's new film "Oppenheimer", which tells the story of the creation of the atomic bomb under the leadership of Robert Oppenheimer. Also in the top ten are "Avatar 2: The Way of Water", the Ukrainian animation "Mavka", the highest-grossing film of the year in the world "Barbie", and the tragicomedy by Ukrainian director Antonio Lukich "Luxembourg, Luxembourg".

Among TV series, the leader was the series "Wednesday." In addition, this year, Ukrainians searched for new seasons of the series "The Good Doctor," "The Little House," and "The Witcher," as well as the Turkish drama series "Bloody Flowers" and "Kingfisher."

In the "Purchase of the Year" category, Ukrainians were most interested in where to buy potassium iodide. Also among the top shopping queries were last year's leader, a generator, online tickets for Ukrzaliznytsia, a new iPhone model, and a trust bank.
