25 Years in Search: Google Search Query Trends Over All Time

Post by takiya »

Google celebrated its 25th anniversary this year. The company marked the occasion by looking back at trends that have piqued users' curiosity over the years and highlighting the people, places, and things they searched for most over the years.

Over these 25 years, Google has collected a huge amount of Bulk SMS Hong Kong data, including nearly two decades of Google Trends data, which shows that people around the world are often interested in the same things, and that all users are looking for answers to the same questions.

Football is the most searched sport in the world, and Cristiano Ronaldo is the most searched athlete, demonstrating a love for the game that knows no boundaries. Taylor Swift’s status as the most popular songwriter highlights the deep connection people have with her music, and by extension, with each other. There’s also a shared humanity in the most popular query in the “how to help” category – how to help people. And the heart emoji (the most searched emoji) reveals another universal theme – a shared need for love and understanding.

The video "A Year in Search" provides even more opportunities to learn about trends from the past 25 years. Google presents annual global search trends for 2023, as well as local lists that contain the most popular searches in individual countries, including Ukraine . In addition, Google introduced the "Top Searches Time Machine", where you can learn about what was most searched for around the world every year, starting in 1999.

Over the years, Search Trends has made us laugh, inspired us to dream, and challenged us to see the world differently. But more importantly, they capture the magic of human curiosity, the power of information, and prove to us time and time again that the search for answers is a sign of progress. If the last 25 years have taught us anything, it’s that the next 25 years will change everything.
