Email marketing on vacation doesn't change, it just transforms

Post by bitheerani44556 »

Many establishments close their doors in winter and summer to take vacations, but it is just when Internet users look for information about products, trips and experiences to be able to buy .

This is when the question arises : Should e-commerce companies also close during these times? What happens with marketing tools, such as email marketing during the holidays?

Take advantage of email marketing on vacation
Typically, August and December are months when purchasing behavior changes (in some industries it goes down, in others it goes up).

In any case, during the holiday season people prefer to travel or do other small business email list activities ; this leads to an increase in visits to online stores, and the Internet user has more time - and money - to be able to buy in the short or medium term (not to mention if we are talking about the Christmas holidays ).

Given all this, it is advisable to carry out some tasks to take advantage of this increase in visits, even if in theory the market is “closed for vacation.” It all depends on the size and context of your company.

The need for SMEs
If you are part of the long list of SMEs in the country, your staff will surely be away for at least 2 weeks to rest - well, if they have a lot of vacation time. We recommend not leaving your website uncovered or notifying about the drop in activity. At the very least, at Mittum we recommend that you do the following, using vacation email marketing as your primary tool:

Announce closing dates or inactivity : From a campaign to a display on your portal, you must inform about the day from which new orders will be sent or received.
Review customer service or complaint emails during the holiday period: Although it may interrupt some time during your break, customer service or complaint emails should not be left unattended, no matter the time.
It is possible that you will not be closing for vacation, but your human effort and activity will be dramatically reduced. As we already mentioned, you must inform this so that you do not get surprises, complaints and bad words from impatient customers who are waiting for your attention.
You should be aware that if you close for vacation, the customer will not care, as they are always in a hurry. The only thing that will happen is that they will end up buying from a store or e-commerce platform of a large company like Amazon , which can deliver the merchandise without much delay and guarantee “normal” service almost 365 days a year.

Any email marketing campaign during the holidays must be carried out several days in advance (at least 1 or 2 weeks before) so that the consumer does not become angry because they have been warned " from one day to the next " about this cancellation of their service .
