7 Reasons to Avoid MailChimp in 2019

Post by shuklamojumder093 »

All MailChimp users recently received a message from the company (“Exciting updates coming to your Mailchimp account”). Despite the complete lack of details , it is clear that the company has adopted new marketing policies . Let’s take a look at why these choices alienate MailChimp from users focused on email marketing.

1 – “Contacts” Become “Audience”
MailChimp customers were able to differentiate between “active” and non-active contacts. Now, all unsubscribed and unconfirmed email addresses count toward plan limits. Unlike other platforms, such as Emailchef (which includes a blacklist to “store” problematic email addresses), MailChimp requires you to stay within the limit or change your plan.

2 – No More Unlimited Shipping
All plans (except the Premium package) now support reduced chief vp marketing officer email lists lists and admins . With Emailchef, sending is unlimited on all plans, and you can always create at least five lists.

3 – The Free Plan Loses Its Functions
The Free plan no longer grants you access to the template gallery, or creating your own HTML, automating your email, or running A/B tests. You can only create one list to store up to 2,000 contacts and can send up to 10,000 emails per month. The Free plan is now more of a tool for individuals or micro-entrepreneurs. If 10,000 emails seems like a lot , consider limiting yourself to having all contacts in a single list.

4 – The Pay-As-You-Go Option Has Packed Up and Gone
Pay As You Go was useful for people who need to send occasional communications . Not only has it disappeared from the Pricing page, it has also lost most of the advanced features. All credits stored by users must be consumed within twelve months of purchase, even if they were sold without an expiration date. With Emailchef , if you have particular sending needs, you can always talk to our staff .

5 – General Price Increases
MailChimp suggests that the price increase is due to the trade-off between expanding into other services , even if these are not related to email marketing. If your ambition is to have a new CRM to manage every moment of your relationship with your customers, the developments announced by MailChimp may be interesting. But how many companies are willing to pay for a multitude of tools (including postcards, landing pages, and advertising management) when they only want an efficient email marketing system ?

6 – Paid Plan Customers Left Hanging
While MailChimp Free users know their fate, customers on other plans have not been informed about whether and when they will have to adopt new packages. MailChimp has offered scant information to its customers with little advance notice of the change. Confidence in the company , which is keen to prove it can change the rules whenever it wants, has been shaken .

7 – MailChimp Still Remains Far From Its Customers
MailChimp's customer support remains as poor as ever , especially for non-US users who have been forced to use English. It is still impossible to interact with developers to resolve issues . There is no reason to hope that MailChimp will become a 360° web marketing operator - this aspect of the business will need to improve.
