Always have the dictionary at hand

Post by rosebaby3892 »

This technique is very useful for rereading content or answering questions about text interpretation. You will probably find it easier to do exams, such as proficiency tests, as you practice scanning.

Whether it’s a dictionary or any other way buy phone number list to translate English terms that you don’t know yet, having an easy-to-access place to look up words is another important point for learning more about the language.

However, it is interesting to do this strategically. Suppose you are reading a text and have identified several words that you do not know, but you understand the context of the content. Therefore, mark only the terms that you do not know how to translate and continue reading.

At the end of the text, you will realize that your brain tried to assign a meaning to words that you didn't know. Now, try looking them up in the dictionary and see if you got it right.

This is important because it is difficult for a person to know all the words in a language, even if they are fluent. At times, you will come across a term in your native language that you have never heard before. The interesting thing is to exercise your reasoning to understand the content anyway, using the dictionary only as a tool, but not as an essential part of your learning.
