If a site takes more than 5 seconds to load, the most common reaction is anger. That is why Google places so much importance on this metric.
However, it works a little differently than people usually imagine. If my site is faster, will I rank better? Not necessarily!
The issue is not speed, but slowness , and it is more related to a punishment that, although it does not remove you from the SERPs, makes you lose positions. Speed is a prerequisite to be at the top.
Google itself already offers a very useful tool to optimize this metric, Pagespeed Insights:
Pagespeed Insights evaluates your site's code and points out all the factors that may be hindering the performance of your pages.
Ideally, you shouldn't use your site's home page for this assessment, but rather the pages that are most important to your business and that should rank for specific searches on Google.
Pagespeed Insights does not show the exact loading speed of the site, so we suggest another tool, also excellent, that in addition to showing the improvements, presents the loading time:
cargo time report

So, there is no good SEO report that doesn't track your profile. Some tools that can be used:

The first step to understanding the quality of your backlinks is to check their status. This will be a similar process to the site audit in the previous topic.
