What are the data sources managed by a DMP?

Post by zihadhasan011 »

When defining the Data Management Platform we said that the tool obtains data from different channels — and this is precisely what makes it so useful — since in addition to the data obtained from these channels, it is possible to collect information from other sources.

The DMP can collect data from three different sources:

1st party date
This is all the data obtained from the company's own channels. Because it is data acquired from the customers themselves, it is usually more valuable.

This data includes information that buyer personas spontaneously provide to us, as well as data that reflects their behavior in the online space .

The channels where they can be obtained are:

websites;
social networks;
email marketing campaigns;
landing pages ;
CRM ;
Apps and mobile devices.
2nd party data
This is the same data obtained from 1st party data, malaysia mobile database but not from your channels, but from other channels. You obtain it when you contact a company in the same segment as yours or from a similar segment to collect their data.

This information is useful if the company with which you generate the data has a segment similar to yours and they complement each other.

For example, if you sell tennis balls, you may find the details of the company that makes tennis rackets for this sport useful.
