Perform targeting setup

Post by rakibhasan02 »

The platform allows you to set up targeting. To do this, go to the "To" section.

Let's list the basic targetings:

demographic: gender and age;
geographical;
social-behavioral;
contextual targeting;
interest targeting;
targeting social media groups and applications;
targeting by audience segments.
When selecting detailed settings, overseas data you can use the following options:
age limit;
A/B test.
Let's look at each type of targeting:

Gender and age
By setting up this parameter, the company can target the portraits of its target audience.

When selecting an audience in the "All Ages" section, you need to check the "Reach audiences of similar ages" checkbox. This will allow you to display ads only to those users whose online behavior is similar to the desired target audience.

The platform allows you to specify a specific set of ages. This function will be useful if the company's audience has a certain age limit or when it is necessary to exclude consumers of a certain age.

If you select the "Unknown Age" group, your ads will only be shown to consumers who have not specified their age in their profile.

Geography
You can use the search to select regions. The platform allows you to select Russia, countries of the former USSR, Europe, Asia, North America, etc. If you do not change the settings, advertising will be targeted to all of Russia.

If you click on the "Add several" button, you can add up to one hundred regions as a list. A menu will open in which you will need to specify the names or IDs of the regions according to the list. In this case, you need to separate them with commas or commas and spaces. To exclude a certain region, you need to put a minus before its name.

You can select a specific location via a point on the map. This is how local marketing is set up. The radius around the point can vary from 500 meters to 10 km. Ads will be shown to users who are in this area, have been there recently, or regularly visit. The company can also specify the time when consumers are at the selected point, for example, any time, working day, weekends, or holidays.

There are two main types of targeting: demographic and geographic. They need to be taken into account when setting up any campaign. To better focus on a specific target audience, you can use targeting by interests, behavior, segments, search queries.

Behavioral and social parameters
These parameters are based on user behavior and the information they have posted in their profiles. In particular, this includes employment, education, position, and marital status. It should be borne in mind that choosing these types of targeting reduces reach, so it is better to use them only if this characteristic of the target audience is very important. For example, a company can select families with children to show them ads with children's products.
